I’ve been posting every month or so on Substack. My longer, more thoughtful pieces.
(Where as this blog is much more ad-hoc, short and long)
I quite like Substack, and have found that I spend a reasonable amount of time there each day, reading through articles. It feels like it is the only place I can find long form pieces these days (pour one out for Medium which had such potential and blew it). I follow a fair bit of political and tech analysis, as well as some societal commentary (eg Naomi Klein has just joined).
Although the Home feed (predominantly based on Notes, versus Articles) is heading down the usual feed slop path, I’ve found that careful curation of who I subscribe to has keep it pretty high in signal versus noise.
My main concern though – that Meta will buy it (and of course ruin it).
