One of things I like to do (and should do more of) is promote some of the local businesses that give us great service. As a business owner myself I know that giving great customer service is often difficult – which explains why it is so rare I guess.
But we’ve had great experiences at the following businesses, so I wanted to at least give them a little link love.
Nando’s Chatswood – yes a chicken shop. But not just any chicken shop. The difference here is Naomi – she’s there every week when we go in, knows our order, and makes sure our chips are done just right (we’re kinda fussy!). Make sure you visit the Nandos Chicken shop at 156 Victoria Street, Chatswood.
Pizza Luna – Quite possibly the best pizza on the North Shore (and yes I’ve tried the way overrated Crust stores). Pizza Luna don’t have a web site (hello!) but you can find them at 1/130 Hampden Road, Artarmon just near Artarmon Station (and the bottle shop!). Call them on (02) 9884 9103 and tell Armand that Craig and Michele sent you (yes, the Craig and Michele that ask for their sour cream on the side when ordering the Hot Fire pizza).
Big Fish Little Fish – awesome burgers. There, that’s all you need to know. If you want a real, decent, old fashioned Hamburger then drop in here. Brian and the gang are terrific, plus they’re open late every night. They are located just outside Westfield at Shop 4, 25 Anderson Street. Call them on (02) 9412 4508.
But again, no web site – what gives?
Willoughby Library – keep this a secret, but a little known fact: you can read books for free here! Yes, amazing but true. I couldn’t believe it myself actually, but the rumours you heard are correct – you can go in and borrow up to 20 books without paying a cent. And you can search the catalog online and place a hold on anything that catches your fancy. Too easy!
